3rd party vendors components
From Best Toolbars
Hi guys,
On behalf of BestToolbars team I would like to ask your opinion on the following question:
We can add a possibility to add to Toolbar Studio several useful 3rd party vendors' services (as plugins) like:
- Dictionary;
- Translation;
- Spell check;
- Anti-spyware;
- etc.
Several of these services are free. Several require additional payments from the toolbar creator. And all of them has their own different "Terms of Use", which must be agreed by user before creating toolbar with respective control.
What about concept of "branding"? Currently our toolbars are positioned as "branded" toolbar, where nobody can intrude into end-user privacy. If we start using 3rd party vendors' components - if you add new controls like Dictionary to the toolbar, some information about users of this toolbar (i.e. statistics of words they are searching, etc.) can be obtained by these 3rd party vendors (Dictionary.com, others), according to their "Terms of Use".
What is your opinion, is it acceptable to add these controls to the Toolbar Studio or does it violate "branding" concept?
