Here is an example comment. You can follow this format (Subheading, feedback, user name, line break) to create your own feedback comment.
Hint: click "edit" link to change the document and put your feedback into the end of the topic, separate it by a horizontal line.
It would be nice to have Radio Player and On-Line status checker. Also in ToolbarStudio list plugins in alphabetical order or create groups.

It is not documented - but I tried the parameter %referrer - and it works - BUT if the referrer string contains parameters (like www.domain.com?a=123&b=456) - only the first parameter was sent (here: www.domain.com?a=123) Alex told me that "This cannot be fixed. We retrieve referrer using Microsoft Internet Explorer API and it returns this value." Isn't there a way to fix that? from: Marko5
Thank you - I think I found the problem - it is similar to the following: if you encode an url using JavaScript encodeURI() the & sign that seperate the parameters will NOT be encoded - if I try to transfer an url with several parameters seperated by & sign it doesn't work - but if you use encodeURIComponent() everything is good. So maybe you use something similar to "encodeURI()" to encode the referrer (inside besttoolbar) and that could be the problem?

Better documentation is highly desired for the source code. The 2-page instruction that came with the source code is far from sufficient for users. Also, better versioning of the source code would be nice. And with each release, there should be a document outlining what changes have been done to the previous version of the code. The customers who purchased the full license should have access to each incremental release of the source code. for instance, the model option dialog feature of the current V4 beta is highly desirable for me to include in my design, but I don't know when I'll be able to get that version of the source code. Simply using TBS V4 is not helpful since I need to make custom changes to the source code and use my own version of the dlls. Thank you very much!

We'll try to take into account your suggestions on source code documentation for future versions. As for V4.0 sources, once we have released a stable version after Beta testing, you will be able to get them. This make take about 2-3 weeks at least.

Feedback :
- I translated the toolbar message in french, but, this message appear in english :
Close All Windows , Error Caption , Alert Caption - DONE
- When saving the toolbar, a message indicate that this file is not in use, however they are used :
uninstall.exe , update.exe - DONE
- The Radio module don't save the last radio listening, if we close and open explorer, the first radio in the list is selected and not the last listened. - DONE
Important :
- It would be nice, that the installation of Toolbar can become in hidden folder of our choice, to avoid that the toolbar is decompressed by certain persons.
- It's very important that only the registered customers having bought the licence of toolbarstudio, can have an access to download toolbarstudio, because several patch/serial was diffused on Internet. Why a no-registered person can use toolbarstudio like the registered customer ?! it's not normal.

- update.exe, uninstall.exe - fixed already. Version 4.0.0.7 is available at http://www.besttoolbars.net/developers.php
- if non-registered user creates toolbar, he/she has a button "Unregistered" on his toolbar, unlike reigistered users and have no ability to remove it until registering. We can't deny users to use our Toolbar Studio at all.

V3.5.1.1 auto-update not working.
After clicking yes on the messagebox saying "all ie window will be closed", nothing happens. currently open IE window is not closed. This is same for both XP and Vista. Auto-update was working for XP in previous version. - FIXED

Other problems in ToolbarStudio v4.0.0.7 :
1- Unable to Modify/Translate the messages : "Close All Windows" and "Error Caption". The modifications is not applied. - DONE
2- Some applications (example : projector in flash) don't run (error message) with the command "Run.exe" in IE toolbar, but run in ToolbarStudio without problem. I don't understand. - DONE

- Unable to leave in IE another toolbar on the same line as the toolbar created with ToolbarStudio. - DONE - The problem persists with my toolbar : If I put other toolbar after my toolbar (in the same line) and I open a IE TAB, all toolbars move of it's initial position. But, if I put other toolbar before my toolbar, no problem in this case.
- Checkbox and radio button don't appear in the toolbar
- Can you add the possibility to add a separator in context menu ? and Icon/image for all item ?
- It would be nice that the bubble close only when clicking on the bubble button.
- It would be nice that the installation of toolbar can become in hidden folder of our choice, to avoid the decompression / copie. - Unfortunately, we can't do it currently. Otherwise our sofware may be treated as spy-ware/ad-ware

From 4.0.1.8 to 4.0.1.11 versions we fixed some critical issues with the most popular plug-ins: RSS reader, Tell a freind, site activation. We will check other less critical things next week (from 24-Sep-2007), including the issues you listed above.

According to the road map, Modal options dialog feature is added since version 4.0.0.0. But in the current version, if I open one of the sample packages, I can see it has a modal options dialog. But I can't figure out a way to add one to my own toolbar. Also don't know how to customize the options dialog either. I can't seem to find instructions in the Advanced manual either. Please clarify. Thanks!

Examples available at our web-site are compatible with 3.0 version and don't have Modal option dialog added. You can add it to your logo button (or any other place - as you wish) so:
- Add menu to the logo
- Add menu item to the logo
- Change caption of menu item to "Toolbar Settings"
- Set 'Command' field to "Configure Plugin Command"
The customization is available at: 1. "Toolbar -> Settings" menu item, "Toolbar Options" tab, "Settings form" section. 2. "Toolbar -> Settings" menu item, "Settings messages" tab.
Thanks. Now I got it. But I would also like to further customize what is shown on the options dialog. For example, hide the checkbox that toggles the visibility of a menu divider since I'd always like to show that divider and don't want user to hide it. I assume this is possible after I got the latest version of the source code. and I'm just wondering when would that be? Since this (model options dialog) is a new feature for this version, it'll be great if I can get some brief documents along with the new version of source code explaining how it's done in the code.

Dear Jake,
At the moment there is no ability to customize it further. Probably it will be done in future versions. Our developers said me that these features are implemented in files: GeneralConfigDialog.cpp, SkinConfigDialog.cpp, ButtonsConfigDialog.cpp
Also as well as you have our source code, you can always order additional features development at our department of custom development.

Hi, My toolbar in now online, but different bugs persists V4.0.2.5 :
- Bubble : The scrollbar is missing in bubble under Firefox.
- Unable to modify/translate the Message Close All Windows.
- If I disconnect from Internet and I try to update the toolbar, the message LastVersion appear instead UpdateError... OK
- Can you as soon as possible add the possibilitie to put the version of toolbar in three position (X.x.x)
- Context menu search not work in IE7 (7.0.5730.11)... OK
- Unable to leave in IE another toolbar on the same line : The problem persists if I put other toolbar after my toolbar, but, if I put other toolbar before my toolbar, no problem in this case.
- Checkbox and radio button don't appear in the toolbar... OK, but the background color of chekbox is not same the toolbar color

This is an problem that always exists since day 1: suppose you have multiple IE windows open and you change the toolbar setting either using the options.html page or using the new configuration dialog. Only one IE window in which you opened the options.html page or the config dialog will be affected. Toolbars in all other IE windows will not reflect the latest change. Also, even if there's only 1 IE window, change in configuration will only affect the current tab and tabs opened afterwards but not tabs opened previously. This is quite annoying and I hope it can be fixed soon.

The generated Firefox-Toolbar contains still some english texts which makes it very time-consuming to translate it, because you have to extract the XPI, then the jar, translate it and then pack the jar and the XPI every time you build an XPI.
